Overview
Power Busway from YSN
Power busway carries the main low-voltage distribution inside a plant or a building, from the transformer or switchgear out to the load centres. The current-carrying conduit is extruded 6063 rare-earth aluminium alloy, or 99.9% T2 oxygen-free copper where the extra conductivity earns its keep, and it sits inside a flame-retardant PVC housing that insulates it, keeps the dust out and resists corrosion. Straight sections, elbows, tees, tap-off boxes and brackets are supplied as one coordinated run.
What we supply
- Straight sections, elbows, tees, crosses and tap-off boxes
- Aluminium-based or copper-based conduit, from 160 A to 5,000 A
- Hangers, brackets and connection accessories
- Route measurement before production, with a layout drawing for approval
Technical requirements
Specification overview
The insulated protection type is built around an extruded aluminium or copper conduit carried inside a flame-retardant PVC housing, with every section of the run selected from the same system.
- Conductor
- 6063 rare-earth aluminium alloy, DC resistivity ≤ 0.0283 Ω·mm²/m at 20 °C — or 99.9% T2 oxygen-free electrolytic copper, below 0.01720 Ω·mm²/m at 20 °C
- Rated voltage
- 660 V / 380 V, 50 Hz
- Rated current
- 160 A to 5,000 A (aluminium-based range); copper-based conduit on request
- Insulating housing
- Flame-retardant PVC engineering compound, corrosion resistant and ageing resistant
- Phase identification
- Phases A, B and C orange; N and PE blue and grey; ABCNPE colour labels at every feed end
- Protection degree
- IP54, pollution degree 3
- Dielectric strength
- 3,000 V AC at 50 Hz for 1 min, without breakdown or flashover
- Ambient temperature
- Indoor installation; 24-hour average not above +35 °C
- Outdoor use
- A metal protective cover or an additional insulation layer is required
- Altitude
- Up to 2,000 m
- Design standards
- IEC 439-2, GB 7251.6-2015, JB 8511-2011
Section selection
| Designation | Section A × B (mm) |
|---|---|
| MT-DL/TL 1# | 24 × 24 |
| MT-DL/TL 2# | 32 × 32 |
| MT-DL/TL 3# | 50 × 50 |
| MT-DL/TL 4# | 70 × 70 |
The section is chosen with the tap-off boxes, hangers, elbows and tees. Send the route drawing and we will lay out the whole run.

Rated currents and cross-sections are published values at an ambient temperature of 35 °C; impedance is quoted over 100 m at 380 V, 50 Hz. Confirm the final rating against your ambient temperature and installation before ordering.
Why this product
What it gives the project
Two conductor options
Aluminium-based conduit where cost and weight decide, copper-based conduit where conductivity does.
Insulated protection type
The conduit is enclosed along its whole length by the flame-retardant PVC housing, which is what gives the run its IP54 rating.
A complete run, not a parts list
Straight sections, elbows, tees, crosses, tap-off boxes, hangers and brackets all come from the same system.
Measured before it is made
The route is measured and a layout drawing approved before production, so the sections arrive in the right lengths.
Send the route and the load
Give us the transformer or switchgear rating, the load centres and the route through the building. We will return a section schedule, a layout drawing and a price for the complete run.
Ask for a busway layoutSend us the load and the route
Tell us the current, voltage, route length and laying method. You will have a specification, a drawing and a price within one working day.
